Descripción : | Zinc hexacyanoruthenate(II)andhexacyanoosmate(II)werepreparedandstudiedfromX-ray diffraction (XRD),infrared(IR),andthermogravimetric(TG)data.Thesecompoundswerefoundtobe isomorphouswiththeironanalogues,crystallizingwitharhombohedralunitcell(R 3c spacegroup), where thezincatomhastetrahedralcoordinationtoNendsofCNgroups.ForCs,compoundswith formulaunitZnCs2[M(CN)6] andacubicunitcell(Fm 3m) werealsoobtained.Thecrystalstructures for theeightcompositionswererefinedfromthecorrespondingX-raypowderdiffractionpatternsusing the Rietveldmethod.RelatedtothetetrahedralcoordinationfortheZnatom,therhombohedralphase has aporousframeworkwithellipsoidalcavitiesofabout12.5 9 8A˚ , communicatedbyelliptical windowsof 5A˚ . Withinthesecavitiestheexchangeablealkalimetalionsarefound.Thefillingofthe cavityvolumeiscompletedwithwatermolecules.IRspectrumsensescertainchargedelocalization from theinnermetal,throughthe p-back donationmechanism.ForOscompoundsthiseffectis particularlypronounced,relatedtoamorediffusedorbitalsforthismetal. & 2008ElsevierLtd.Allrightsreserved |
