Adiciones y comentarios a los Gobiidae (Pisces) de La Bahía de La Paz, B.C.S., México

Abstract

The knowledge of biological diversity requires of complete and faithful biotic inventories; thus, in this paper eight new species of the fish family Gobiidae are added to Bahía de La Paz ichthyofauna. The specimens were sampled by several methods, and are: Bollmannia ocellata; Ctenogobius manglicola; Elacatinus sp.; Evermannia zosterura; Evorthodus minutus, which is also new to the Gulf of California; Ilypnus gilberti; Microgobius emblematicus and M. tabogensis. Moreover, the nominal species list presently assigned to this family in the area is amended; therefore the Gobiidae components in Bahía de La Paz make a total of 27 recognized species.
