Abstract

The current economic system, better known as globalization, forces the country to overcome in order to compete against countries with a good level of development, and for this purpose is necessary to create technical professionals capable of facing the current situation and operate the different types of technology that nowadays surrounds us. The National Polytechnic Institute and in particular the CEC y T. No. 1, aware of the current social and economic situation of the country, as well as the development and progress of science and technology, seek to offer to the students an appropriate work area idea for a high academic development. Nowadays education goes hand in hand with research and independent learning. However, in the pursuit of learning we use to find some obstacles, one of them is to obtain information in another language. It has been found that 85% of the information we find online is written in English, that´s why the CEC y T No. 1, concerned with the improvement of students, aims to modernize the English laboratories, meeting the Curriculum 2008 "Learning-Centered Model" and emphasizing the English teaching, according to the Common European Framework for teaching, learning and review of foreign languages.
