dc.description.abstract | This thesisis the result ofthe versatilityof civil engineering, of the damagesof climate change oncultural heritageand specifically inthe archaeological sites, the need to developmeasures to achieveminimize theirvulnerabilityand consideringit is the responsibilitycountriespreserve theirheritageas wemarkthe UnitedNationsEducationalScientificand Cultural Organization.Inthis workthe active participationof society(scientistsand technicians in thearea, researchers, engineers, etc.) is key. To understand the relationshipbetween climate change andcultural heritage isimportant to defineeach of them; Climate change isa resultof global warming, its origins, causes andconsequences andmeasures tocushion its effectsarediscussedin Chapter1.Chapter2 addressesthe issue ofcivilengineering,considered one ofthe means to achievetheadaptation of society, infrastructure and in thecaseof Estate withthe negative effects ofchanging climate. Chapter3 looks attheinternational, nationaland localprotection anddissemination of heritage(archaeological sites) in order to knowthe big picture.Chapter4 addressesthe second termof the relationship, cultural heritage, considering criteria that are importantto know tounderstand whythe need toprotect. To concludewith Chapter 5, there are three differentarchaeological sitesvulnerable tohydrometeorological eventsand two of themlisted asworld heritageof mankind,the main effectsare recognized, some proposalsto prevent spoilageand listedthose established by theUNESCO. | es |
