SISTEMA PARA CONTROLAR Y GESTIONAR REDES DE AGUA POTABLE EN PEQUEÑAS LOCALIDADES

Abstract

In this thesis is developing a geographic information system (GIS), for administration of spatial and no spatial information, related with the operation of potable water supply distribution Net, that let us manage, evaluate and distribute water of good quality; moreover of automating the system in order of implementing and developing in the next future a mechanism that let us to have a the technological vanguard, to our water system. Through of the software Arc view is developing a geographic information system, that was applied in two housing estate of the Tehuacan town, in Puebla State; in which by buttons and tools let to the user visualize and carry out operations with the information of the data base generated by the GIS. The information stored in the GIS could be visualized and analyzed through geographical and attributes consultations, with the possibility of to realize thematic maps and temporary models and to integrate in the future another kind of complementary information that was considered relevant and that it be related with the original data base. The hydraulics calculus was processed through EPANET software; four cases of hydraulics calculus of the water distribution net are presented, theses were processed one by one, getting fine results
