dc.description.abstractMexico is a rich country with an extensive coastal area, which is the reason why it has a great development in different such as tourism, company work, market but specially for port system where all these activities gather. The information above highlights the importance of making projects of research that help improve the already existing ports, since by optimizing and planning in a better way the design of different structures of protection such as breakwater, it prolongs the useful life of the these. The main objective of this thesis was to study the reflection of waves permeable breakwater on a slope basis on a regular wave generator that provokes problems such as the formation of clapotis, which at the same time causes damage. This is due to the incident of waves, added to the reflected one, generate conditions greater than the ones of design, at the same times this means that the conditions of navigation are severe for the vessel entering or leaving the port. For this study and narrow flume provided with a generator of the regular waves was used, and a physical model was built reduced at the bottom steadily without distortion, in which four sections of permeable to slope breakwater were reproduced, two sections of berm breakwater, with slope 1.5:1 for both land and sea, were the first tested; and two sections of classic breakwater (three layers), which slopes 2:1 on the sea and 1.5:1 on the land, were tested in the end. For the constructions of such sections stonework was enabled which was one of the core layers, secondary layer and armour. Only one section of the two classic breakwaters was tested with dolos in the armour, made from plastic and resin. The reflection of the waves produced by an every section tested was calculated with a method by Mansard and Funke. The outcome from these demonstrated that the section with less reflection on the indicated conditions was the classic breakwater of three layers with dolos in the armour. This was based on theories found in the state of the art by Losada and Giménez-Curto; Sollitt and Cross; Seelig and Ahrens; and Van der Meeres
